1on1Spanish.com uses three kinds of cookies: strictly necessary cookies, which are always on, analytics cookies from Google Analytics, and advertising cookies from Google Ads. The last two are only set if you accept them. The Website does not use cookies to show you personalized ads.

Analytics (only if you accept them)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit the Website, which pages they read and which links they click (for example, the buttons on our links page, the “Log in” link and the level test form). This helps us improve the Website. We see this information as aggregated statistics, not as data about you personally.

Although these cookies are stored under the 1on1spanish.com domain, they are created and read by Google Analytics. When they are active, Google receives information about your visit: a random identifier, the pages you view and the links you click, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
If you do not accept analytics cookies, the Website does not load Google Analytics and sends nothing to Google for analytics. Ad personalization is always refused, so your visit is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
Advertising (only if you accept them)
We advertise 1on1Spanish on Google Search. If you accept advertising cookies, Google Ads can tell us whether a visit that started from one of our ads ended in a level test request, so we know which ads work and can stop paying for those that do not. We do not use this information to show you ads again.

If you do not accept advertising cookies, the Website does not send Google Ads any conversion and does not set these cookies. When you arrive from a Google ad, the ad click identifier may still be present in the page address; if you submit the level test form, it is stored with your request so we can tell which ad brought you (this is part of handling your request, not of advertising cookies).
Other services that may receive your IP address
If your browser cannot display an emoji on its own, WordPress loads the emoji image from s.w.org (WordPress.org). That request sends your IP address and basic browser details to WordPress.org, but does not set any cookie.
Contact and enquiry forms do not set tracking cookies: the option that would assign a persistent identifier to each browser is disabled, and the IP address and browser details of the sender are not stored with the message.
5. Cookie Consent
When you first visit the Website, a cookie notice lets you Accept or Reject analytics and advertising cookies, or Customize your choice. All three options are shown at the same level, and no box is pre-checked.
Until you make a choice, or if you reject them, only the strictly necessary cookies listed in section 4 are used, and neither Google Analytics nor Google Ads measurement is loaded.
Your choice is saved in the sns_consent cookie for 12 months. After that, or if we add a new type of cookie, we will ask you again.
6. Managing or Withdrawing Consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the round cookie button in the bottom-left corner of every page, or this link: Cookie settings.
If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads stop measuring your visit straight away, are no longer loaded from your next page view, and the Website deletes the _ga, _ga_643XF82TEP, _gcl_aw and _gcl_au cookies it can access from your browser.
Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
You may also delete or block cookies through your web browser settings. The exact procedure depends on the browser and device being used.
Blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of the Website.
7. International Transfers
If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, the information collected by Google Analytics and Google Ads may be processed by Google LLC in the United States and in other countries where Google operates. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognizes as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred from the European Economic Area.
Cloudflare, our hosting infrastructure provider, may also process technical information outside the European Economic Area in order to deliver and protect the Website.
