Private Spanish lessons vs. group classes
In a group class of eight, an hour gives you about seven minutes of talking, and you spend the rest listening to other people's mistakes at your own level.
One-on-one inverts that. 25 minutes where every minute is yours is more speaking than an hour in a group, and every correction is about your Spanish rather than someone else's.
Groups win on price and on company. If either matters more to you than speaking time, a group class is a reasonable choice, and a community college near you probably runs one.

How long is a Spanish lesson?
25 minutes, one-on-one. Short and frequent beats long and occasional: four short lessons a week are four chances to speak, and they are easier to keep on a busy week than one long lesson you end up cancelling.
Do I need to buy any materials?
No. Whatever a lesson needs is in your account, and your teacher prepares it before the call. There is no coursebook to buy and no enrollment fee.
What if I have to miss a lesson?
You reschedule it yourself from your account, up to five minutes before it starts. There are no weekly caps, so a quiet week and a busy week are both normal.
Can I take Spanish lessons if I have never studied Spanish?
Yes. Complete beginners are one of the most common starting points. The free level test exists so your first paid lesson starts at the right place instead of being spent working out where you are.
Is there a contract?
No. The first month is $1 on any plan, and after that it renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel before it renews and that is all you have paid.
